Evan is subtle yet impassioned singer-songwriter, drawing the listener in with his understated vocal style and sparse mandolin or guitar accompaniment.

As a songwriter, Evan explores the depth of his emotional experience of the world, telling bittersweet stories of introversion, being an artist and the pursuit for inner peace. His songs are mysterious with sparkles of unconventional harmony and timbre and he often uses the sounds of bluegrass and folk styles as a canvas on which to paint his poignant yet hopeful narrations.

His solo performances have included supporting Sarah Jarosz, Allison De Groot and Tatiana Hargreaves and as a Sofar Sounds artist.
